Japanese Company Riken Elastomers to Build Plant in Hopkinsville, Kentucky
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved Riken for tax benefits up to $900,000 under the Kentucky Rural Economic Development Act. The plant will manufacture high quality thermoplastic elastomer compounds used within the automotive industry at their new manufacturing facility, also in Hopkinsville. Read more

Manufacturing Output Barely Picks Up As Autos Decelerate
U.S. auto production fell 5.4% in July as plants shut down for retooling. As a result, U.S. factory output posted only a one-tenth percent gain last month, according to the Federal Reserve Board's report on August 16. Read more
