FedEx And UPS Drawn Into Price Fixing Probe
UPS received a federal subpoena for information relating to an international probe of price fixing in the air cargo industry. The probe began in February with raids by EU and South Korean officials and the U.S. Dept. of Justice. FedEx received a subpoena from a grand jury at the end of June. Read more

Caterpillar Will Build New Manufacturing Plant In China
A new wheel loader manufacturing facility will be built in the Suzhou Industrial Park in China’s Jiangsu province. Read more

Harley-Davidson To Roll Out New Twin Engine
Harley-Davidson is introducing a new Big Twin engine in 2007, the Twin Cam 96, which will replace the Twin Cam 88 to power all models in Harley's Dyna, Softail and Touring lines. Read more

Idaho Gets First Hydrogen Plant
Synthetic Energy Inc., Ketchum, Idaho, will be producing hydrogen from water through hydrolysis, a process that is costly in terms of consumption of electricity. To mitigate the cost, Synthetic Energy will use two wind turbines to generate 25 percent of the electrical energy required to run the hydrolysers. Read more
